After almost five years experiencing the dental profession in Brazil, Dr. Vinhas decided it was time for a change of scenery and moved to Chicago, IL, where he was accepted in the International Dentist Program at UIC, class of 2014. He graduated with distinction, receiving prestigious leadership and clinical excellence awards, he was also elected into Omicron Kappa Upsilon-Honor Society. Upon completion of the program Dr. Vinhas served as a Clinical Professor at UIC.

Since 2015, Houston is his home providing high quality dental care to his patients. In his free time, he enjoys traveling with his wife and kids, playing the guitar, and doing triathlons.

Missourian-native raised in Brazil, Dr. Vinhas obtained his dental degree from the Federal University of Bahia School of Dentistry in 2002. Shortly after graduation, he was accepted in a highly competitive Orthodontics residency program, receiving the title in 2005.
