Meet Thiago Vinhas
DDS
Dr. Thiago Vinhas has over 20 years of experience in Dentistry and is able to take care of all you dental needs from fillings and crowns to root canals, extractions and orthodontic treatment.
Missourian-native raised in Brazil, he obtained his dental degree from the Federal University of Bahia School of Dentistry in 2002. Shortly after graduation, he was accepted in a highly competitive Orthodontics residency program, receiving the title in 2005.
After almost five years experiencing the dental profession in Brazil, Dr. Vinhas decided it was time for a change of scenery and moved to Chicago, IL, where he was accepted in the International Dentist Degree Program at UIC, class of 2014. He graduated with distinction, receiving prestigious leadership and clinical excellence awards, he was also elected into Omicron Kappa Upsilon-Honor Society, one of the highest honors attainable in the dental profession.
Upon completion of the program Dr. Vinhas was offered a position and served as a Clinical Professor at UIC. As a professional, Dr. Vinhas has always been very involved with the local community, as he thinks that helping others is one of the greatest gifts one can give.
Since 2015, Houston is his home providing high quality dental care to his patients. In his free time, he enjoys traveling with his wife and kids, playing the guitar, and doing triathlons.
